ADIA and Mubadala publish the free data layer for Gulf–Asia capital tracking

ADIA’s 2025 Review and Mubadala’s 2025 results are the free primary layer for tracking Abu Dhabi capital in Asia; the guide notes the gaps.

ADIA published its 2025 Review, and Mubadala released 2025 annual results with an Annual Review. Together they are the free primary layer for tracking Abu Dhabi capital in Asia. Paid services sit on top of this layer. This guide names no vendor and gives no prices, because no vendor page qualifies as a primary source.

Who

Start with the legal identity and the reporting line. Mubadala’s results release describes it as an Abu Dhabi–based sovereign investor. ADIA’s 2025 Review states that its board members are appointed by a resolution of the Abu Dhabi Supreme Council for Financial and Economic Affairs. Record the filer, the signatory and the document date before using any number.

Assets under management

Take the figure, the currency, the year and the page.

  • Mubadala: assets under management grew 17% in 2025 to AED 1.4 trillion (US$385 billion); returns and deployment are in Mubadala’s Asia-Pacific profile. Mubadala has not disclosed annual revenue or net income since 2021, so no earnings line can be pulled from this release.
  • ADIA: the Review gives 20-year and 30-year annualised returns of 6.6% and 7.2% as of 31 December 2025. It marks 2025 performance as provisional until final data for non-listed assets is included. The Review contains no total-assets figure. Treat any ADIA total from another publication as a third-party estimate and cite that publication.

Where it invests in Asia

ADIA publishes long-term allocation ranges, not holdings; the ranges are set out in ADIA’s 2025 Review: Asia ranges.

The Review names, among others, these Asian transactions:

  • A $600 million investment in the Vantage APAC data centre platform, with assets in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
  • An anchor role in a China-focused multi-asset portfolio managed by CDH Investments.
  • A new Hong Kong platform for senior secured loans.
  • A divestment of retail assets in Singapore.

Only the Vantage line carries an amount. Mubadala’s Annual Review 2025 carries its own geography split (Asia-Pacific 13%); read it directly before quoting a share.

Latest known moves

ADIA changed some of its 2025 ranges; the changes are listed in ADIA’s 2025 Review: Asia ranges. Compare the web page with the PDF and use the PDF, which is dated.

Mubadala’s press list for 2026 includes a headline reading "Mubadala Announces Significant Minority Investment in Luckin Coffee". The list shows no amount or stake. Open the individual release for size, date and co-investors.

Editorial assessment

  • Only one of the four Asian lines quoted from ADIA’s Review carries an amount, so deal-size tracking needs counterparty filings or paid data.
  • Mubadala’s release gives assets and return rates but no revenue or net income, so earnings-based comparison of the two funds is not possible from free documents.
  • The ADIA web page and PDF can disagree; the dated PDF is the safer citation.
